ABOUT

As a people person, tour guiding has been a blessing in my life. I am a born and raised Israeli, have four wonderful children and live in Hod Hasharon in central Israel. I am a veteran of the Yom Kippur war of 1973, after which I was decorated with the medal of distinguished service. I’ve been a licensed tour guide for over 25 years. I keep my guiding style humorous and informative, but most of all- personal. Over the years I had been privileged to work with many couples, large groups, Bna'i Mitzvah groups, solo travelers and various foreign delegations. I've studied Israeli studies for both my BA and MA, specializing in Israeli Archeology. There's no such thing as knowing too much!

Decorated war veteran

I was a 19-year-old tank driver when the Yom Kippur war broke in 1973. I was stationed right by the Suez Canal. Experiencing the war at such a young age has had an immense influence on my life. I have lost many dear friends in the sands of Sinai, was fortunate enough to save the lives of a few and was decorated with the Medal of Distinguished Service.

These records can be found in Latrun- the Commemoration and Remembrance Site of the Israeli Armored Corps- a place I hold dear.

The war’s horrors have made me seek peace in my own life and oppose any kind of violence.

SECURITY AND SAFETY

This is the most important part of my trip planning. I keep well informed of everything that goes on in Israel, from bad weather through traffic jams. There’s no place in Israel that doesn’t have coverage, so keeping updated is easy.

As for safety- did you know that Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are considered safer than most capital cities in the western world? Like every other place in the world- some places aren’t safe and I keep well away from them. I’ve lived here all my life and this is where I chose to raise my children.

Every year, Tel Aviv nightlife gets ranked at the world's top! Come, see for yourself! If you still have any specific concerns or worries- let me know. I’ll be more than happy to answer any question you might have.
